Asking for Repetition


Here are some phrases and expressions asking for repetition or clarification in English.
·  Excuse me?
·      Pardon?
·  Could you repeat that?
·  Could you say that again?
·      What?
·  What did you say?
·  What was that (again)?
·  Did you say . . . ?
·  I'm sorry. I didn't catch that.

The following is how those expressions used in the conversation

Andre : Excuse me, what’s your name?
Cathy : Cathy Henderson
Andre : What did you say your name was?
Cathy : It's Cathy Henderson
Andre: Did you say Andersen or Henderson?
Cathy : Henderson, with an H.
Andre : Is "Cathy" spelled with a C or a K?
Cathy : It's C as in Cadillac.
Andre : And what was your address again?
 Cathy : 72 West Sunshine Blvd., Suite 501
Andre : Sorry, I didn't catch the last part.
Cathy : Suite 501
Andre: I can't hear you very well.
Cathy : Maybe you should turn down the radio.
