THE LEGEND OF OI WOBO (Simplified)

Long time ago, a prince from Bima Sultanate went for adventure. He and his companions headed to east. After walking for such a long time, they arrived at the peak of Mount Lambitu. They stopped there to rest. Being starving, they ate up all the food they brought.
The dark night soon covered the earth. The prince and his companions decided not go on walking. At that night, they set up tent and stayed at the peak of Mount Lambitu.
On the following day, they continued their adventure. They went down the mount and headed to the north until they reached a valley. They stopped there to rest. They got very hungry but they had no more food to eat. They simply ate any fruit they could find around there. After eating the fruit, they felt very thirsty, but no water was found. The prince asked one of the companions to take “wobo” (a kind of stick from twig used as whip). Then, he whipped stones and roots of trees on the ground. Soon, an incredible thing happened. The fresh and pure water spring came out from the ground. Now they could drink. Finding plenty of water, the prince and all the companions decided to settle there. The place was then named Oi Wobo (literally; oi means water, and wobo means whip). Now, OI WOBO becomes one of the tourist destinations in Wawo District.
