Tari Sagele

"Sagele" is a traditional dance of Wawo people which tells us about the activities of farmers living in Wawo district, Bima Regency. It is aimed at entertaining farmers when they work in their rice field or garden. Tari Sagele is played with "sarone" accompaniment, a traditional mouth organ like trumpet.

Tari Sagele shows us a series of farmers activities, begun with the process of clearing of land, cultivating, planting, mowing, scaring birds, harvesting, and ended with bringing crops to "Lengge", the traditional house of Wawo.
