"Tari Weha Ao" and "Tari Sanggolu" are the traditional dances of Wawo people. Literally, Tari=dance; weha ao= welcome or pick somebody up; sanggolu= rainbow. These dances symbolize the feeling of pride, gladness, and excitement of Wawo people for being visited by very important person like regent, governor, president, or tourists. According to the tradition of Wawo people, guests are considered as the kings that must be highly respected.
Tari Weha Ao and Tari Sanggolu is dominated by classical movements accompanied by traditional musical instruments: gendang, gong, and sarone. Meanwhile, the dancers are in rainbow-colored costumes.
