Ntumbu is the traditional dance which is originally performed or played by Bimanese people living in Wawo since the fifteenth century. It is especially found in Ntori village and Maria village only. Ntumbu is the manifestation of a past event, in which there were two young men fought against each other but no one won or defeated. None of them was vulnerable to weapons. Finally, they fought in another way. It was done by bumping their head against one another. In Bima, this power struggle is called ntumbu.
