This Bimanese traditional dance manifests the feeling of pride and happiness of dancers’ due to the coming of guests to the traditional occasions or ceremonies. According to the ancestors, the coming of guests to a village is a God’s blessing for the host. Therefore, the guests is considered as a king that must be highly respected. In this occasion, dou mbojo (Bimanese people) spread the bongi monca (yellow rice), hoping that the traditional ceremony would be successfully done.
